The St. Peter’s Prep track and field team won seven out of eight races and ran multiple top 10 marks in New Jersey to win its fourth straight Hudson County Relay title, 78-30.5, over North Bergen on Tuesday at the Jersey City Armory.

SPP won the shuttle hurdles in a new seasons best and NJ #9 time of 31.62 seconds, the 4×200 in 1:33.66, the 4×800 in 8:18.26, the sprint medley relay in NJ #3 3:42.83 and the 4×400 relay in 3:34.31. Prep also got victories in the high jump relay with a combined 12-3 mark and the shot put relay with a combined 92-7 mark. Prep just missed having a perfect meet, taking second in the Distance Medley relay.

Several athletes had great performances for Prep. Adonis McGee jumped 6-5 in the HJ for a NJ#5 mark and led the shuttle hurdles relay with a 7.6 second split. RJ Oben Jr threw 53-8 in the shot put for a new NJ #3 mark. Richie Luzzi-Liggins split 22.6 on the winning Sprint Medley while Chris Brooks anchored the relay in 2:03 for his second 800 of the meet. Edwin Klanke split 2:00 on the winning 4×800 relay and Gus Nations IV split 53.17 to hold off Ferris on the 4×400.

Next up for Prep is the Jersey City Championships on Tuesday at the Jersey City Armory.
